Can a slave truly be happy?
If a slave has God and has their own true personal strong relationship with him, then yes. Anyone that has God in their life, especially like that, always has a reason to be truly sanguine. Gas is powerful, and can bring you through anything. You just have to trust him and let him guide you and tell you what to do. You have to keep your faith, no matter what your going through, or how tough it may seem, God is with you, and he be with you always.

Journal 3-18-09
I feel like my life is all falling into place. Everything just feels so perfect. I'm so happy with my life right now. My family isn't fighting, I'm getting along with my brothers so much better now, I have a boyfriend who means more to me than anything. He is my world. I would be so lost without him. I'm so lucky to have him in my life! I love him!
Both of my brothers have their girls too. And I haven't seen them this happy in forever. I've found myself a new best friend, Amy. We talk about everything! I love her to death! She is so easy to talk to. Shes the greatest friend anyone could ask for. My older brother is dating her also. It's a little awkward I must admit, but they are both happy, so I am happy for them. My mother has found a best friend too, who is my best friends mother. My brothers best friend is his girlfriend's sister's fiance, and my little brothers girlfriend is Amy's cousin. It's all connected.
I've finally realized why everything that had been going on in my life. If it hadn't, we wouldn't have moved here. If we hadn't we wouldn't had changed churches. If we hadn't we wouldn't have grown any closer Amy, or her mom, or her cousin, and Nathan wouldn't have grown so close to her sister or fiance. I am so glad we moved! If we didn't I wouldn't have met Derek either, and I wouldn't be the happiest girl on the planet right now...I am so glad we moved here, and I'm so glad we went through all we did...

In our accelerated English 2 class, our group (green group) read the book "Twisted" last week. The author, Laurie Halse Anderson, grew up in Syracuse, New York, and now lives outside Philadelphia with her husband, two teenage daughters, and many books. SPEAK, nominated for the 1999 National Book Award for Young People's Literature, is her first novel. She is also the author of three picture books, NO TIME FOR MOTHER'S DAY, TURKEY POX, and NDITO RUNS. Twisted was a pretty good book as well as these. Its about Tyler Miller, a senior in highschool, whom his whole life up until senior year was an incognito year for him. He used to be the kind of guy who just faded into the background. Just an average, normal student. Average guy, in a very dysfunctional family. But after he got caught for doing graffiti on the school...spent the summer working outdoors, which was his punishment for it, he starts to all of a sudden be noticed. And his high school crush, Bethany Milbury, starts to notice him too. His life soon becomes a roller coaster. So many ups and downs. The downs are pretty steep though. He soon comes to realize, that he will have to just wait, and ride it out....

The sad face was the lugubrious face. The face with the smile is the sanguine face.
The sanguine face is the one that fits me best today. It fits me best everyday because I always look for a reason to smile. I try to make the best out of everyday, because everyday your alive is a blessing. So in my opinion everyone should always have a reason to smile.
